Labor Day weekend was Grandpa and Grandma Riley’s annual visit. It just so happens that this year they came to see us twice, once when Jeremiah was born and again on Labor Day.
As always, I didn’t take near enough pictures. Grandpa taught the boys to play Euchre, so we spent a lot of time playing Euchre. Grandpa also made a bean bag toss game for us and Grandma painted all our names on them; they brought the game with them and that was used quite a bit as well. I think Grandma did some stamping with children in small groups too.
One day we went to Oak Run to have lunch with Grandpa and Grandma Plattner. They took us out on the boat and later we enjoyed cake and ice cream for Jesse and Johanna’s birthdays.
Anticipation!
In the background of the above picture you can see Grandpa Plattner on the jet ski with one of the younger children.
Grandpa Riley driving the boat.
I enjoyed getting out on the tube for awhile.
going…
gone!
My favorite of the day. He must have been looking at a plane.
Anything you can drive (so to speak) and this little boy is a happy camper!
One down!
Cake anyone?
14 candles! Can he do it?
Ready, set, BLOW!
Johanna got a new tricycle for her birthday.
Jesse got Jonathan Park CD’s. They really enjoy them and the children learn a lot of evidence for creation through them.
