Hi everyone!
I have a new post but I don't have my camera to load the pictures, so I am going to wait till perhaps tomorrow to post it.
Wednesday night we drove to Bastrop where some friends of ours live. They have a cabin on their farm, about the size of our "Sauder House". Chad left again Thursday morning to go back to the fields and the children and I have been enjoying not being stuck in a hotel room. Chad may be back tonight (Friday), but all plans are subject to change without notice!!!
The Ringger's have a small farm with goats, chickens, a couple dogs, a cat, and a couple mule's (to protect the goats). They milk their goats and sell it to a few people they know for $8.00 a gallon! The milk is very tasty and we have had some cheese they make which was very tasty as well. Makes me think maybe we should get a couple of milk goats. :) To all of you thinking "YUCK" - how goats milk tastes depends upon what they eat, how quickly the milk gets cooled and perhaps other things I don't know about. I'm guessing if you had were given a glass and didn't know it was goats milk, you wouldn't know it!
They have 6 children ranging from 8 1/2 to 18. Their two girls are oldest and then their boys, they are really enjoying playing together. I will try to get some pictures to add later.
