... and You'll See Jesus
As I was enjoying the flight with a sleeping baby I was watching out the window and marvelling at the wonders of God's Creation and softly singing the precious hymns that came to mind in worship to our Lord (the engine was right behind my seat so I wasn't too worried about someone hearing me!!!).
I also enjoyed flying over some cities that had obvious intelligent planning that went into the layout of their roads; they painted a pretty picture to look down upon.
It amazes me that we can recognize intelligence behind man's inventions or beautiful designs which are limited and yet even though we keep designing more and more powerful microscopes and telescopes that show us even more information than we previously had we cannot recognize intelligence when we see it.
A verse and a song kept passing through my mind in those quiet moments of reflection.
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. Psalm 19
Steppin' on a cloud and we'll see Jesus
Rise to meet Him in the air
Steppin' on a cloud and He will greet us
Oh, the joy together we'll share
I'm gonna leave this world behind me
Going where the devil cannot find me
I'm going higher (higher), higher (higher), higher (higher), higher (higher)
Steppin' on a cloud
There were two ways to look at that song during the flight. As we were passing through the clouds, Jesus was speaking to my heart of His glory and of His wondrous creation. I could see Jesus (figuratively). I also look forward to that day when we see Jesus face to face.
As I grow in Grace and in the Knowledge of my Lord Jesus Christ, He is opening my eyes to His glory all around. My heart just swells up with praise at the awesomeness of God and the privilege of being called His child.
