Tea Party with Grandma Plattner

Grandma Plattner sent an invitation to her Granddaughters to attend a Tea Party on Saturday morning (the morning after our family Christmas); they were each to bring their baby to the party.  They had a great time eating and playing games.  One of the boys commented that it was “out of character” for Mom to get so dressed up and have such a time but I think it is her true personality finally having opportunity to come out!  You see, Mom had 4 boys and quite a few foster children, I think there was only one girl in the whole bunch and she was just a baby.  Finally, Mom has a bunch of Granddaughters and she gets to do “girlie” activities with them!

She did a great job.  The table was set nicely including tea pots of hot water for hot cocoa.  She provided hats and purses for the girls and they dug old shawls out of the dress up clothes to wear to the party.
